i4cp Membership Doubles in 2010
The Institute for Corporate Productivity (i4cp) experienced it’s 5th quarter in a row of record growth in new memberships, as well as record renewals of existing members, to complete the 2010 calendar year.
The i4cp network doubled in the last year, thanks in large part to a fourth quarter that saw sales grow by 172% from the same period in 2009, and 134% over the previous quarter. In Q4, i4cp welcomed many well known organizations including AstraZeneca, AT&T, Hertz Global, 7-Eleven, McAfee, Sykes, McGraw Hill, Motorola Solutions, Kelly Services, LyondellBasell Industries and Banner Health among several other companies and non-profit organizations to its growing network of high-performance organizations.
i4cp also experienced an extremely high renewal rate among existing members in 2010, as well as a high referral rate from existing member companies. A recent member satisfaction survey showed that i4cp members are very satisfied with i4cp’s value, with well over 9 out of 10 members reporting that they would recommend i4cp to a colleague.
“While many membership organizations have struggled to maintain status quo in these economic times, i4cp has experienced unprecedented growth due to our unique singular focus on the practices of high-performance organizations,” said Kevin Oakes, CEO of i4cp. “Our members continually tell us that our cutting edge and innovative research, vendor-free network and active peer collaboration sets us apart from other groups and organizations in the market. We look forward to continuing our focus on the next practices in human capital with our member companies in 2011.”
“As we navigate through the challenges of growing our respective businesses, it's critical that we make deliberate and well informed decisions with regard to our human capital. I depend on i4cp to provide the necessary research, professional network and consultancy to serve as our ‘Human Capital GPS’ and to guide us to high performance,” said David Whitehorn, SVP of Human Resources at i4cp member company Schneider Electric.
In March, i4cp will host its 2011 Annual Conference: Next Practices of High-Performance Organizations, which will feature keynote presentations by speakers from several i4cp member companies – including GE, MetLife, Lockheed Martin, Flextronics, General Mills, Qualcomm, Adobe, Deloitte, YUM! Brands, Hertz and others – as well as sessions with renowned thought leaders such as Stephen M.R. Covey, Marshall Goldsmith, Dr. John Sullivan, John Coné and Bill Price.
“This year's conference looks to be one of the best ever- and one that I certainly will not miss,” added Whitehorn.
In addition to in-person meetings such as peer connections and the annual conference, i4cp also successfully launched several working groups on topics such as performance management, diversity, knowledge retention and talent management. Of the almost 50 different companies that participated in these forums, the feedback has been almost unanimously positive.
“My involvement with the performance management group has far exceeded my expectations,” commented Sherryl Stalinski, Senior Director of Talent Management at Parsons Engineering. “Of all possible professional organizations one could invest time and limited resources in, none have provided the kind of practical, relevant and valuable benefit that I have received from i4cp.”
“2010 was the first year we have been associated with i4cp, and it has been a much more productive year as a result of our association,” added Laura DePasquale, Manager of Employment at CNA (Center for Naval Analyses). “The information we gleaned from not only the research documents available on their website, but also our participation in both the Diversity Accelerator and Performance Management Accelerator groups, and one-on-one conversations with i4cp research analysts, has allowed us to stretch our thinking on a variety of topics that affect our organization.”
In 2011, i4cp is expanding on these existing groups with additional forums – called “Exchanges” – which will bring together peers from multiple companies to collaborate on research and share best practices in topics such as Strategic Workforce Planning, Performance Management, Evidence-Based HR and other strategic topics.
Additionally, in the coming months, i4cp will publish several groundbreaking studies on the practices that define high-performance organizations. i4cp’s research is provided to members in an interactive format that allows them to benchmark against companies of a similar size, industry, geography and other variables.
