NextIO Announces Its vCORE Express Product Line
NextIO has announced the vCORE Express product line. vCORE Express is the first 1U expansion system to support the NVIDIA Tesla M2070 GPUs. NextIO will officially launch vCORE Express at the 2010 GPU Technical Conference, Sept. 20–23 in San Jose, Calif., Booth #63.
"vCORE Express is a compatible upgrade to current Tesla S-Class systems," said Andy Keane, general manager of the Tesla business, NVIDIA. "NextIO's new systems provide a modular system architecture for centers deploying Fermi-architecture GPUs with 6GB of dedicated compute memory per GPU."

NextIO's vCORE product family offers NVIDIA's record-setting GPUs for both compute-intensive and data visualization requirements. vCORE Express enhances NextIO's GPU consolidation product portfolio by introducing a simple, yet extremely powerful, solution for workstation and small cluster compute applications. Ideally suited for customers with a low number of job counts, low to medium GPU counts, or a combination of both, vCORE Express enables enterprise customers to easily deploy and seamlessly manage a consolidated GPU solution in a rack environment.
vCORE Express is designed especially for parallel computing applications using NVIDIA Tesla 20-Series GPUs in cluster and datacenter deployments. With four massively parallel CUDA-enabled GPUs in a 1U system, vCORE Express brings economies of scale to GPU customers by delivering the same performance of a traditional CPU-based cluster -- all at 10 percent of the cost and five percent of the power consumption.
Most attractive to GPU customers, NextIO vCORE Express also introduces several features that enable new applications to perform dramatically faster using GPU computing, including:
