Accelerated Technology Unveils Beta Version of Code Lab Debug
MOBILE, AL -- Accelerated Technology, Inc. (ATI) announced the beta release of code|lab Debug, a hardware-assisted remote debugger, for the SH1/2/3/4 and NEC 850/853 processors. code|lab Debug is just one component of ATI's code|lab(TM) family of embedded software development tools and hardware. Hardware-assisted debugging helps isolate complex embedded design problems
since it extends traditional software debugger capabilities. Breakpoint
conditions are not limited to software and can take into account any
combination of logic signals from actual embedded devices. Delay triggers and
pass counts enable the engineer to surround a point-of-interest in a real-
time, non-intrusive manner to gain a thorough and complete understanding of
the system's behavior, including high-resolution time stamps to support
benchmarking and application profiling.
code|lab aids embedded design teams exposed to increasing complexity,
decreasing product lifecycles and a proliferation of industry solutions that
denies them the freedom to make their own choices. code|lab is comprehensive
and consistent. It works out-of-the-box in a configuration that is customized
to meet the exact combination of requirements for individual product
designers. Teams are free to choose their own software to deploy, including
any RTOS, and are free to choose any CPU and any compiler.
"As an RTOS vendor, Accelerated Technology is very familiar with the
design and implementation of software on the target. Furthermore, this
experience has provided us with unique insight into the needs of embedded
developers. By using this experience, combined with our usage of almost every
available source level debugger in the embedded industry, we have produced a
world-class debugging solution in code|lab Debug. High on our list of
important capabilities is the rapid deployment of a debugger that is capable
of providing support for almost any CPU. This initial beta release is only
the beginning of a long list of processors that are waiting in the wings for
deployment," said Neil Henderson, president of Accelerated Technology, Inc.
ATI's newest product, code|lab, is a family of RTOS-independent, hardware-
assisted software development tools. These tools consist of an embedded
development environment, hardware-assisted debugger and target evaluation
boards. code|lab provides a familiar interface, regardless of your choice of
CPU. The configuration you specify works out-of-the-box, enabling you to
immediately begin developing your product.
